Fire dragons love to live in volcanoes that have a network of caverns for communal living. Loner dragons live in deserts and are always on the move. The fire dragons are led by one dragon father and a council of female dragons chosen for their wisdom, usually older females that can no longer mate. Fire dragons don't mate for life and the females will go on a mating flight and mate with two to seven different males and produce one egg per male which is given to the male to take care of. These flights are usually over deserts so the male can either head back to the volcano or make a nest in the desert. Young are considered the child of the male and not the female. Upon hatching, both males and females are taken to the dragon father and raised with others. When they turn two, they can mate and set out on their own to find their own nest sites. Fire dragons control fire to do their bidding with more advanced ones able to make fire creatures and give them tasks to do (younger ones tend to forget that the task has to be able to resist fire or it goes up in flames).
